Title:
Attitudes toward Health Insurance and Their Persistence over Time, Adults 2009-2010
Product type:
   Statistical Brief 395
MEPS component:
   Household Component
Publication date:
   December 19, 2012
Description:
This Brief provides a summary of the attitudes adults have regarding the need for health insurance coverage and its cost over the time period 2009-2010. Adults between the ages of 18 and 64 who were uninsured for all of 2010 were nearly twice as likely as their privately insured counterparts and nearly three times as likely as those with public coverage to agree with the statement "I'm healthy enough that I really don't need health insurance."
