The state-level tables provide private sector data by firm size, state, industry groupings, ownership type, age of firm, employee characteristics, and average wage quartiles. The data by individual states are also are also available in spreadsheet format. You can also use the interactive query tools, MEPSnet, to access statistics and trends about State-level health insurance.
Please note, in preparation for improvements in the data collection process, 2007 data for the Insurance Component was not collected.
MEPS employer-based health insurance tables are produced in the year following
data collection. Private-sector tables are posted in July and government tables
are posted in November.
The metro area tables provide private sector data for the 20 largest metro areas by firm size and at least one metro area in each state along with data for the remainder of that state.
