The following revisions concerning the estimates of children covered by public only health insurance in 2002 were made on July 8, 2004 (original posted date July 1, 2004):
1. Highlights section, fourth bullet Original: The number and percentage of children covered by public only insurance increased between 1996 and 2002 by 6.3 million, from 10.9 million to 17.2 million and from 16.2 percent to 24.8 percent. Revision: The number and percentage of children covered by public only insurance increased between 1996 and 2002 by 5.2 million, from 10.9 million to 16.1 million and from 16.2 percent to 23.3 percent.
2. Findings section, fourth paragraph, sentence three Original: Concurrently, the percentage and number of children covered by public only insurance increased 8.6 percentage points (from 16.2 percent to 24.8 percent, as shown in figure 3), and by 6.3 million (from 10.9 million to 17.2 million, as shown in figure 4). Revision: Concurrently, the percentage and number of children covered by public only insurance increased 7.1 percentage points (from 16.2 percent to 23.3 percent, as shown in figure 3), and by 5.2 million (from 10.9 million to 16.1 million, as shown in figure 4).
