Description:
MEPS-HC survey asks participants their prescribed drugs purchased in outpatient settings, and collects detailed information from their pharmacies with their permission. Outpatient prescription fills of opioids that are commonly used to treat pain are identified using generic drug names. Opioids administered in an inpatient setting or in a clinic or physician's office are excluded.
