In 2010, 58.6 million adults or 25.1 percent of the U.S. community population age 18 and older received treatment for hypertension. The mean expenditure per person for the treatment of hypertension was higher for adults age 65 and older ($778) than for adults ages 45-64 ($715) or ages 18-44 ($636). |
