This public use release is one in a series of public use event files drawn from the 2017 Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) Household (HC) and Medical Provider Components (MPC). This release contains 2 data files each of which is provided as an ASCII file with SAS, SPSS, and STATA programming statements, a SAS transport file, a SAS V9 file, a XLSX file, and a Stata file. File 1 is used for linking the MEPS 2017 condition file (HC-199) with the MEPS 2017 event files (HC-197A through HC-197H); File 2 is used for linking the MEPS 2017 prescribed medicines event file (HC-197A) with other 2017 event files.
