MEPS-IC State Tables in Spreadsheet Format by State
The data in the MEPS-IC State tables are available here in an in easy to manipulate format. The data are provided in both Excel and CSV (comma separated value) formats.
  • Each Excel file contains multiple worksheets. There is a separate spreadsheet for each type of table layout available. All of the MEPS-IC estimates for a given state in a specific year are provided in a single Excel file, which is provided for downloading to your computer; you can also view the data online.
  • CSV files are also available for a specific state and year. They are provided in zip files that are not viewable online. To use the CSV files, you must first download the file to your computer and then unzip the compressed file. Please go to Download Notes for more information on downloading zip files.
The spreadsheets contain the same estimates that appear in the MEPS-IC tables, only the formats are different. These spreadsheets do not have the footnotes and documentation links that appear in the tables; please refer to the tables for this information. If you are familiar with the MEPS-IC tables, the spreadsheet formats should be self-explanatory. The estimates are listed in the first set of columns, the standard errors follow in the later columns, and each row provides the State data from one of the tables.  Update notes

Please note, in preparation for improvements in the data collection process, 2007 data for the Insurance Component was not collected.
