This MEPS chartbook looks at changes in job-related health insurance coverage in the private sector over the period 1996-99. It discusses the extent to which employers offered coverage over the 4 years, as well as enrollment rates of workers. It also looks at the types of plans offered and the extent to which coverage was available without the employee having to contribute to the premium cost. Finally, the cost of coverage -- both overall and any employee share -- is analyzed. |
