This public use data file contains jobs-level data from the 1998 Medical Expenditure Panel Survey Household Component (MEPS HC). Released as an ASCII file with SAS, SPSS, and STATA programming statements and in SAS transport format, this public use file provides information collected on a nationally representative sample of the civilian noninstitutionalized population of the United States during the calendar year 1998. The file contains 1998 jobs level information collected in Rounds 3-5 for the second Panel and Rounds 1-3 for the third Panel of the 1998 Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS), and includes variables pertaining to household-reported jobs, including wages, hours, industry, and occupation.
