This public use data file contains jobs-level data from the 2017 Medical Expenditure Panel Survey Household Component (MEPS-HC). Released as an ASCII file with SAS, SPSS, and Stata programming statements, a SAS transport file, a SAS V9 file, a XLSX file, and a Stata file, this public use file provides information collected on a nationally representative sample of the civilian noninstitutionalized population of the United States during the calendar year 2017. The file contains job-level information collected in Round 3-5 for Panel 21 and Rounds 1-3 for Panel 22 of the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (i.e., the rounds for the MEPS panels covering calendar year 2017); it includes variables pertaining to household-reported jobs, including wages, hours, industry, and occupation.
