This Statistical Brief provides descriptive statistics on the U.S. civilian noninstitutionalized population under age 65 that was uninsured throughout the first part of 2012. During the first part of 2012, 21.6 percent of persons under age 65 were uninsured. More than one-third of adults ages 19 to 29 lacked health insurance in the first part of 2012. Hispanics were substantially more likely than other groups to lack health insurance. |
