Children Living with Adult Smokers, United States, 2004 |
Description: |
|
Using data from the Household Component of the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS-HC), this Statistical Brief presents estimates of the percentage of children under age 18 at the end of 2004 who lived in families containing at least one adult who smoked. Variations are examined by selected characteristics of the child (asthma status, age, race/ethnicity) and co-residing family (number of adults, poverty status, geographic location of residence, highest adult education level). |
