Released as an ASCII file (with related SAS, SPSS, and STATA programming statements, a SAS transport file, a SAS V9 file, a XLSX file, and a Stata file), this public use dataset contains data on 12,715 households who participated in the MEPS Household Component of the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey in 2017. These households received a positive family-level weight and were part of one of the two MEPS panels for whom food security data were collected in Round 4 of Panel 21 or Round 2 of Panel 22. The family (RU) level records in this data can be linked to the 2017 Full Year Consolidated Data File to obtain additional data for the families included in this file.
