This Statistical Brief presents 2003 data from the Household Component of the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS-HC) for the Medicare and non-Medicare subpopulations in the U.S. civilian noninstitutionalized (community) population on prescribed medicine expenditures, by sources of payment and insurance status. Only prescribed medicine purchases in an outpatient setting are included in the estimates. |
