There will be a delay in the release of tables containing 2012 state and local government estimates from the MEPS Insurance Component. Originally scheduled for posting in late November 2013, the tables will be released in early Spring 2014 instead. This delay also effects the 2012 MEPS-IC civilian tables. | posted on 11/20/2013

Beginning with the 2008 tables, health insurance data from the MEPS Insurance Component for the private sector will be released a full year earlier due to major improvements in the data collection process.
1. In July 2009, MEPS employer-based health insurance tables for private-sector establishments will be posted for the year 2008. Without the changes to data collection, these data would have not been released until July 2010.
2. In November 2009, MEPS employer-based health insurance tables for State/local governments will be posted for the year 2008. This is eight months earlier than would have been possible without the data collection improvements.
In order to achieve these major advances in the data release schedule, MEPS employer-based health insurance data will NOT be collected for the year 2007.
